Materials

We mainly work with high quality furniture grade materials like solid walnut, oak, maple (slab and laid up) and baltic birch plywood. We also work with other grades of plywood and core sheet materials like particle board and MDF with raw, laminate, veneer and phenolic finishes.

Note* Not all materials are continually stocked and the size of your order and our suppliers may influence what is available to use for some materials.

Our Materials

  • Corian

We commonly cut Corian for countertop applications. The common sheet sizing of 2.5' x 12' is beyond the limitations of our cutting area so nesting much take this into account and we cut in two processes.

  • Decorative Wood Veneers

We frequently cut from walnut, oak, birch and maple veneers laid up on a variety of core materials. Our fabrication bed is limited to 5' x 10' sheets.

  • Engineering Plastics & Sheets (Thermoplast)
  • EPS / Expanded Polystyrene / Styrofoam / Blue Foam

We have milled a variety of density foams from 18lb high density foam for architectural and topographical models, prototyping and molds to lower quality styrofoams for quick and rough concept models.

Our cutting/milling area is limited to 5' x 10' by ~7" and prices depend on the finish quality desired due to machining time.

  • Foam Polymers
  • Hardwoods

We have milled from timber flitches of oak, walnut and maple. Some are available in stock.

The dimensions of our milling bed is limited to 5' x 10' and 6" thickness.

  • Maple

Sometimes available in stock otherwise we can source or have panels laid up.

The dimensions of our milling bed is limited to 5' x 10' and 6" thickness so usually this doesn't limit the use of solid too much.

  • Oak

Sometimes available in stock otherwise we can source or have panels laid up.

The dimensions of our milling bed is limited to 5' x 10' and 6" thickness so usually this doesn't limit the use of solid too much.

  • Plywood

One our most commonly used materials. We prefer working with high quality products like baltic birch and as such usually keep 18mm 4'x8' sheets in stock.

  • Walnut

Sometimes available in stock otherwise we can source or have panels laid up.
