Icon & Co offer full carpentry & joinery services, as well as finishing, painting & artistic services, but one of the kingpins of our set up here in south Wales is the CNC router machine.

Computer Numerical Control (CNC) cutting is the computer controlled cutting, engraving & carving of two-dimensional sheet material, for example plywood or MDF. The CNC machine can cut complex shapes or the individual components that can be slotted, glued, screwed or bolted together to create furniture or an unlimited variety of three-dimensional forms.

Our machine works directly from computer drawings that you can supply to us - ideally .dxf or .dwg files - or that we would be happy to advise on or create for you ourselves.

This tool is capable of cutting a sheet size of up to 3 x 2 metres, & can cut wood, plastics, non-ferrous metals & composite materials.

We can work from a finished design or help develop the emergence of the vaguest idea; if you need advice our designers can fill in any gaps to see you through to the realisation of your project.
