TechShops are large membership-based DIY shops with every kind of shop you can imagine: wood shop, metal shop, machine shop, welding, 3D printers and lasers, a textile area with sewing machines and a screen printer, electronics area, etc. All of the computers in TechShop have a full Autodesk suite and Adobe suite. I can use Illustrator as a 2D CAD and Inventor as a 3D program. The 2D files can be put through a CNC routing table (called a ShopBot) or the laser cutters and etchers. The 3D files can be 3D printed. I can also mill, turn metal on the lathe, weld, sew, and powder coat.
